Last updated . This notice is about Last Call, the game at /lastcall/ on our website. Your Shadows of the Corn account, signing in and the rest of the website are covered by the Shadows of the Corn privacy page.
The short version
- Signed in, kept with your accountEach night you play is kept on our server with your account, so your streak, rank and casebook are there on any device.
- A guest's night stays in the browserPlay without signing in and our server keeps nothing of your night. It stays in that browser only.
- No ads, no trackingThere are no ads in Last Call, and nothing about how you play is sold or shared.
- Yours to removeRemove my account, on your profile, takes your Last Call record away with the rest of your account.
What we keep when you are signed in
For each night you play, our server keeps:
- When you opened the case, the places you searched, and each clue and statement you pinned, with whether it was right.
- The glasses you have left, how many hints you used and whether the night's free one is gone, whether the case was solved or the bar shut, and your time from the first search to the right pin.
- Your best streak, and the name the week's board shows for you, which is your account's display name.
From these the game works out your streak, your points, your Detective's rank and your casebook in Your Office. It is kept for as long as your account is. The week's board shows signed in players' names, points and times, and only signed in players can see it.
Hints and your Clues
The lamp's first hint each night is free. A later one spends one Clue from the Clues your account earns in the hidden puzzles, and that spend is written on your account's Clue record like any other. A hint never costs candy or money.
What stays in your browser
The game keeps a few small things in your browser's own storage on that device: that you have done the practice case, which briefs you have seen, the notebook marks you made on recent cases, and the past nights you solved again in the Case Files. A guest's night (the places searched, the pins and the glasses) is kept here too, and nowhere else. Clearing this site's data in your browser removes them.
The Shop
The Shop is not open yet, and paying with real money is switched off. When it opens, what you buy is kept with your account, and the website's privacy page says how a payment is taken. Nothing in it is random, and nothing in it helps you solve a case.
Removing it
Remove my account, at the bottom of your profile, removes your Last Call record (every night, your streak and your name on the board) along with the rest of your account. A question about your record goes to Contact Us.
Who it is for
Last Call is a whodunit made for players 16 and over. Accounts follow the website's own rules, on its privacy page.
